Skateboard set up, if no skate, tell us something you have set up?

Independent trucks. I also dig Ventures even though it seems to be an unpopular choice. No funny ‘spaced’ or clever coloured grip job, just straight black. Remember Dead Bolts? A friend of mine used to skate those and we’d bust on him for having to use an Allen (Hex) Key, which is ridicule that I still stand by today. Speaking of that - what about in ‘Gleaming The Cube’ when he breaks the ignition of a car with his Elephant Wrench (skate key)? I remember thinking I could do anything with mine once I got one finally – what a sham! Anyway, as far as a deck I’m going to brown nose and say a Cyril Shop board. Original era Plan B or more recently Black Label or Anti Hereo would also be acceptable for me. Wheels: Slimeballs or A1 Meats. I don’t have a solid more contemporary answer on that front though as I always buy blanks because I’m cheap. Bearings: Swiss? Bolts - I have no clue about any of this, normal ones and none of that ‘bridge’ type shit.

T. Rex, New York Dolls, The Stooges with The Ramones and The Dictators opening, likely in ’76 if it were ever to happen - anywhere. Alternately - Run DMC, LL Cool J, Eric B+Rakim, and BDP with Public Enemy opening. Kool Herc on the decks between sets – say in ’87, in any borough of NYC.
